Night/Day 1
Everything that happened with what seemed long ago was, at first, plain stupid.
I was taken away from my beloved Gilbert, because he lost a stupid bet with this pathetic man he called Roderich, and the reason why he bet me I didn't know of. He knew that I was a good worker, and I took care of his house as if it were my own. I thought that it could have been possible that the odds weren't in Gilbert's favor, when he was pretty sure that was the case. He always boasted about how awesome he was. I wouldn't have complained back then.
The little carriage arrived to my new workplace in the middle of the night. When the door opened, I was frightened of the possibilities of what kind of hell-hole my new boss lived in. As I walked out, my thoughts were thrown out with just one look of the exterior. It was as if I had died and my heaven were a pure white mansion. Moonlight shone even in the darkest corners. In the entryway, was a man with brown hair with a little cowlick. He wore glasses and a fancy purple outfit. I assumed that this would be Roderich. He approached me with an interesting little smirk.
"So this is the worker I won from Gilbert?" he asked himself as he examined me with his eyes. "Not bad. Not bad at all. I can see why he asked you to work for him in the first place. However, that's in the past now. You work for me." He didn't intimidate me, but something refrained me from even making a smart remark. "I'm Roderich if you didn't know. My work for you will be different than what that Gilbert has ever given you. As soon as the sun rises, you are ordered to get up and start cleaning the house. Specific instructions will be provided for you every morning, and you'll find them in the kitchen. You have until sunset to finish. Plus, once the sun is down, you have to be in your room at all times. It has a bathroom and a little kitchen area, so you'll have everything you need. Understand?"
I nodded my head slightly. "Yes, Master Roderich." I gritted my teeth as I called him "Master".
He smiled, but he didn't show his teeth. "Good. I'll show you to your room so you can get a good night's sleep."
As soon as the sun touched the horizon, its bright light caused me to awake abruptly. It felt odd waking up in a place I had never been in before, and sadly it was nicer than the room I had at Gilbert's. After my eyes adjusted to the bright light, I snooped around the room's drawers to see what kind of clothing my new master had provided for me. After about five minutes, I pulled out a purple dress from one of the top drawers. The shade perfectly matched the outfit Roderich had worn the previous night. I wanted to wear it, but I had a job to do, and I didn't want to dirty it up, so I went for the orange dress that already had stains on it.
When I left my room and headed for the kitchen, I expected to see Roderich sitting at the dining room table sipping a cup of tea, considering how fancy he was with his castle. That wasn't the case. He wasn't anywhere in sight. I wandered the castle for about an hour, not finding a single trace of him. When I gave up my search, I headed back to the kitchen. The note was on the kitchen counter in plain sight:
______,
I forgot to mention that I sleep during the day. Don't worry about waking me up. I'm what you may call a heavy sleeper. There aren't that much detailed instructions today, except that my study could use a good dusting. Remember, have all chores done by sunset, and I don't want to ever see you outside your room.
Sincerely,
Roderich.
I swore this man's instructions were the oddest. It was no wonder that Gilbert would always torment him on everything possible. There was a part of me that wanted to disobey Roderich's rules and take my sweet time cleaning the large mansion he lived in. Surely it would take me longer than my "done at sunset" rule.
So after eating a small breakfast, I started my new job. Much to my surprise, it was almost completely clean, so I didn't have to do much compared to when I worked at Gilbert's. If that man ever spilled a tiny drop of beer on his carpet, I would have to clean it up and refill his glass. At first I didn't mind so much, as the "love bug" bit me, and I swore if I did so many unnecessary tasks for him, he would appreciate me more than just a worker.
What task took the longest was dusting the study due to its large size. Multiple times I had to use a footstool to reach tops of bookshelves. When I dusted the desk that was in there, I noticed a glossy piece of paper hidden underneath other papers. I carefully slipped it out, and I studied it carefully. It was a photo, which Roderich was in. Next to him, was a gorgeous woman with long brown hair; his arm was around her. In front of them, was a small toddler wearing a cute green maid's outfit. The child had short redish-brown hair with a strange curl sticking out. All three of them were smiling. Curiosity got the best of me, as I wanted to know who the two in the photo were. Unfortunately, I couldn't ask Roderich since he was sleeping, and it would have been rude to wake him.
My tasks had taken longer than I assumed, as when I was completely finished, the sun had begun to set. I had to get going to my room, but at the same time, I wanted to see if Roderich would wake up so I could ask him about the photo. I watched the sun as it descended below the horizon line. My hands started to shake out of nerves. I had no idea what he would do if he saw me out of my room, but I had a feeling it might not had been pretty.
My nerves got the best of me, and I retired to my room.
I didn't want to immediately go to bed, so I took the liberty of checking out my room and its entirety. It was if it could be its on guest house. When entering the room, one would find themselves in my bedroom. To the right was a door leading to a kitchen, while the left led to a bathroom. My bedroom had a decent size bed, but it was obvious that it was only meant for one person to sleep in. Next to the bed was a nightstand with a lamp. Closer to the door leading to the rest of the mansion, there was a bookshelf stocked with more than a hundred books that looked as if they had never been opened. The kitchen was already stocked with food to last me a month, and was full of utensils and plates. The bathroom had its usual sink and toilet, but the bathtub was extraordinary. It was a circular shape that shone as bright as the day. It was a somewhat deep bathtub, so it included a ladder and even a place to sit and wash.
The way I saw things that night, I wouldn't have minded staying there all night. I ended up falling asleep that night after fixing my own dinner. I had chosen a book prior to sleeping, and when I woke up, that same book was planted right on my nose. It had been forever since I was able to sleep so well, that I actually looked forward to working that day.

You let out a soft sigh, you nearly fell asleep again since you still felt so tired. And as soon as you heard the ringtone of your cell phone you barely even cared, however it landed all the way on the other side of the room was a question as well. Besides that Arthur wasn't planning to let go of you yet anyhow, you didn't want to move either since it was too comfortable in his arms.
"Don't worry about it, love. Just let it slide.." Arthur whispered, his eyes gazed over the the cell phone from time to time but he didn't do anything about it. You merely nodded as you lightly shifted your position to sit a bit more comfortable in Arthur's lap.

I was requested to do a Vampire!AustriaxReader by =dugherowngrave. Originally, this was going to be a oneshot like the rest of my requests, but I kept thinking of all the possibilities, so this will be a mini series. It might be about five chapters if I'm right.
